We had the best truffle pasta here—better than any we’ve had at Michelin-starred restaurants in Asia! The service was equally outstanding. We stayed in the village for four days and ended up dining here twice, as they were closed on one of the nights. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re visiting the area, but be sure to book in advance!

The chickpea pheasant pasta! Wow! I really appreciated how friendly the service was. The menu is not traditional osteria food and has a twist to it. The ambiance is cozy and romantic. A place to remember!

Absolutely to die for! We came here for my mother’s birthday dinner, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We began with the wild boar and pecorino cheese fondue served on Tuscan bread, simply fantastic. That was followed by pici (a type of pasta) with wild boar and candied lemon, which was absolutely to die for. The candied lemon added a bright, unexpected twist that made the dish truly unforgettable. Next came the beef tagliata with vegetables, some of the best vegetables we’ve ever had, especially the zucchini, which we later learned they grow themselves. For dessert, we had the warm chocolate cake, which was rich and indulgent. The wine list is also excellent, an essential touch when dining in Tuscany. The food and service made the evening so special and turned my mother’s birthday into a night we’ll always remember. We loved it so much that we came back the next day for dinner to explore more of the menu. We started again with the wild boar on bread, it was simply too good to skip. Then came the grilled pheasant ravioli and the tagliatelle with duck. Both were outstanding, but the ravioli was on another level, I know I’ll be craving it for a long time. We even ordered a side of roasted zucchini again because they were just that good. You can tell that Martina and Filippo, she runs the front of house, and he’s the chef, are not only a couple, but also deeply passionate about what they do. They’re both incredibly warm and welcoming, and their energy brings something truly special to the whole experience. Every dish was flawless. I honestly can’t stress enough how amazing this place is. A must-visit!

One of the best meals we have in Italian. Every dish was made with fresh ingredients and flavors filled with umami. We enjoyed our meals so much that we have to make a second visit before we leave Tuscany. Thank you Martina & Filippo for the culinary & hospitality!

A Culinary Gem in Tuscany During our recent trip to Tuscany, my partner and I were so completely captivated by Osteria Volpaia that we returned for a second visit in the same week. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a true culinary destination with a storybook setting, overlooking the charming little piazza in Volpaia. From the moment we arrived, we felt like a welcomed guest in a family home, thanks to the incredibly warm and kind owners, Martina and Filippo. Martina, who manages the front of house, has an amazing spirit that made us feel special. As great as Martina was, she didn’t do it alone, Asif was incredible and in addition to being very attentive and warm, he was very generous with this wine pours! The food itself is a revelation. The dishes are beautifully presented, with flavors that are absolutely on par with, or even better than, a one star Michelin-starred restaurant we visited nearby. Our favorite was the pheasant ravioli, a dish so exceptional it stands out as one of the best we've had all year. On our second visit, we opted for the 9-course tasting menu—and be warned, you'll want to unbuckle your belts! It was an absolute feast, and the value is unbelievable, especially since a perfectly paired wine is included with every course. This place is truly a hidden gem. I know Martina and Filippo want to stay off the Michelin radar, but with food and service of this quality, I suspect their secret won't last for much longer. Osteria Volpaia is an essential stop for anyone visiting the region.

I can warmly recommend this osteria. Martina and Filippo are very warm hosts. The chef knows his trade and the service is extremely welcoming. Above all, you notice the love in the selection of seasonal and, above all, regional products. We ordered the pork belly which was the best we have ever eaten. The pasta was also homemade, delicious and highly recommended. I would also warmly recommend trying Martina's ice cream. Rarely have I eaten such an incredibly good ice cream. The price is a little higher, but a good meal must be worth it, especially considering the quality of the products and dishes. The owners of the Osteria used to run a Michelin star restaurant in Florence and this is reflected in the standards of the Osteria. You will not be disappointed here.
